Frequently Asked Questions
Does Poop Scoop Dude clean the entire yard?
Poop Scoop Dude will tackle dog waste in all parts of your property, from the front yard to the backyard, including side areas, garden beds, and designated dog areas.
How much does it cost?
Poop Scoop Dude offers services with plans starting at just $20 per service. Our pricing varies depending on the yard size, how often you need service, and the number of dogs you have. Typically, our clients find themselves paying between $85 and $120 per month.
Can you clean with my dog in the yard?
At Poop Scoop Dude, we adore dogs but prioritize safety for everyone involved. If your dog is friendly and comfortable with strangers, we're delighted to have them in the yard during our cleaning. However, if your pet shows signs of aggression or discomfort around new people, we kindly ask that they be kept inside during our service. For dogs with a history of aggression, we require text confirmation from you that they are indoors before we start our work, ensuring the safety of our team and your pets. Should your dog be left outside on service day without prior introductions or if they're known to be aggressive, we will have to skip the cleaning, and charges will still apply, to avoid any risk. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Do I have to sign a contract for pooper scooper services?
No contracts! With us, you pay for your service monthly in advance, but you have the flexibility to start, pause, or cancel your subscription whenever you want. Just update your settings in the customer portal or give our office a call. If you cancel, you'll receive a refund for any weeks left in the month that haven't been serviced yet.
Can I request a specific cleanup day?
At Poop Scoop Dude, while we strive to accommodate your schedule, not every cleanup day will be available in your area due to our route optimization for efficiency, which helps keep our pricing low. For an initial cleanup, we can offer you a few options to best fit your schedule. Once you sign up for regular services, we'll assign you a consistent day each week for service, though we'll notify you in advance if any changes are necessary. On service day, expect an 'on the way' text from us when we're about 30-60 minutes from your location.
How do you ensure the safety of my dogs?
At Poop Scoop Dude, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your pets. We meticulously clean our equipment and footwear with a high-grade disinfectant after servicing each yard, ensuring no germs are transferred. Additionally, we take a photo of the securely closed gate post-service, giving you peace of mind that your pets are safe and secure within your yard.
Do you provide arrival windows for services?
We do not provide specific arrival times for our services. To maintain efficiency and keep costs low, we optimize our routes, with drive times planned at midnight the day before service. However, we will send you a notification approximately 60 minutes before we arrive, so you can plan accordingly.
How do you dispose of the pet waste after each cleanup?
We double bag the poop and place it in your bin. If there’s no outside bin we’ll leave it neatly beside the gate.
Does the initial clean cost more?
If it’s been over a month since the yard was last cleaned there is an initial cleaning fee of $99.
We are currently running a deal for anyone who joins on one of our scheduled services, we’ll drop the initial cleaning fee.
See Terms of Service for conditions.
What about bad weather?
We aim to clean your yard come rain or shine. However, if extreme weather makes it hazardous for our crew, we'll postpone the service and let you know right away. Should we skip your yard due to harsh weather, you'll still be charged for the week, but we'll make it up with double the service the next week.
Do I need to be home when you scoop?
No, your presence isn't required for us to service your yard. Just ensure we have access through an unlocked gate or leave your gate unlocked or leave a key nearby so that we can unlock the gate. Once we're done, we'll snap a photo of your gate to confirm the job's completion and that your pet is secure.
Is there a referral program?
Yes! Tell your friends and neighbors and you will both get a free week!
